This local scholarship list includes links to each scholarship website, with deadlines, award amounts, and detailed eligibility information.
College is expensive, but it doesn't have to be! Scholarships can be used to offset the cost of tuition. Did you know that at many schools, you can stack scholarships? If your scholarship funds are more than the cost of tuition, that schools will cut you a check for the surplus scholarship money. That's how I got paid to go to college, and now I want to help you do the same!
SCHOLARSHIPS FOR LOUISIANA STUDENTS
Deadline: 1/10/2024
Award Amount: $500
Eligibility: One $500 award is available to students who possess a general class or higher amateur radio license. Must be studying electronics, communications, or related fields at a Bachelor’s level. Preference will be given to applicants with a 3.0 GPA or higher who are residents of FCC 5th call district (TX, OK, AR, LA, MS, NM).

Eligibility: Recipients will be selected from public high schools throughout Louisiana with a focus on exctracurricular activies, leadership, and community service.

LOUISIANA BAR FOUNDATION KIDS’ CHANCE SCHOLARSHIP
Deadline: 2/23/25
Award Amount: up to $3,000
Eligibility: Must be a dependent of a worker killed or permanently and totally disabled in an accident compensable under a state or federal Worker's Compensation Act or law. Must be a Louisiana resident between the ages of 16 and 25.

Six (6) scholarships are reserved for the community and four (4) scholarships are reserved for children of Cornerstone employees. For community scholarships, preference will be given to applicants residing in Waggaman (Zip Code: 70094), Kennedy Heights in Avondale (Zip Code: 70094), and Old Kenner (Zip Code: 70062)

Bayou Industrial Group Scholarship

Eligibility: Graduating high school seniors in the Bayou Region for enrollment at Nicholls State University and Fletcher Technical Community College. While the main focus of our scholarship program is still on graduating high school seniors, we will now also consider applications from non-traditional students residing in Lafourche, Terrebonne, Assumption, or St. Mary parishes. While the main focus of our scholarship program is still on 2 and 4 year degree programs, we will now also consider applications for students pursuing industrial certifications and non-degree programs. Scholarship amounts for these programs will depend on program costs and other factors.
